MANILA, (PNA) –The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) on Sunday revealed that strong winds and rain-induced floods brought about by typhoon “Santi” has so far affected 46,295 families or 219,591 people in 282 villages in 40 towns and four cities in 11 provinces in Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon and CALABARZON.
Of these, 1,736 families or 7,421 people are staying in 58 evacuation centers.
At least 13 people were killed while five were injured and three missing.
Some 3,433 houses were destroyed while 13,097 were damaged in Nueva Ecija, in Tarlac, in Bulacan and in Aurora provinces.
The NDRRMC said at least 15 roads and seven bridges were damaged in Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Cordillera and Metro Manila.
