MANILA, (PNA) –As typhoon “Santi” is expected to be out of the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Sunday another typhoon is expected to enter by Monday morning, the state weather forecaster said.
Weather Forecaster Fernando Cada said on Sunday that the weather agency is monitoring a typhoon internationally codenamed “Wipha” hovering off Pacific Ocean.
He said that “Wipha” located at 1,430 km East of Northern Luzon is expected to enter the country on Monday morning.
Once inside the Philippine territory, Cada said it would be named “Tino” the third cyclone to visit the country this month and 20th this year.
However, he noted it would only stay briefly in the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR)and not expected to hit land in any part of the country.
He said it would stay only for a day inside PAR and then would head to Japan.
