As such, NDRRMC spokesman Major Rey Balido said that all concerned government agencies under the disaster preparedness are now on 24/7 standby.
“We declared a red alert effective 8 a.m. All regions that may be affected in the coming days are on standby,” he said.

Teams from various government agencies such as the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), and the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) are closely monitoring weather updates so they can immediately respond to contingencies.
