MANILA, (PNA) — The National Prosecution Service Wednesday asked the Supreme Court for the transfer to Metro Manila of the venue of trial of rebellion charges filed against Moro National Liberation Front founding chair Nurallaji “Nur” Misuari and 64 others.
According to Justice Secretary Leila M. De Lima, this was prompted by the problem in security in Zamboanga City.
Even Zamboanga City Mayor Beng Climaco has sent a letter to De Lima and asked to appeal with the SC for the transfer of the venue of the trial of the case.
De Lima stressed that the said letter of Climaco was included in the documents they submitted to the SC.
