Nine-hour power interruption to affect parts of Isabela Tuesday

ILAGAN CITY, Isabela, (PNA) — The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) has set a nine-hour power interruption in several service areas of Isabela Electric Cooperative (ISELCO) – II tomorrow, October 8.

Lilibeth Gaydowen, NGCP – North Luzon Corporate Communications and Public Affairs Officer, said the power interruption will affect the towns of Roxas, Mallig, San Manuel, Aurora, Quezon and Quirino, all in the second district of Isabela.

She said the power interruption will start at 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Gaydowen said the NGCP crewmen will be conducting replacement of selected wood poles and line hardware along the Gamu-Naguilian-Ilagan-Reina Mercedes 69 Kilo Volts line.

Meanwhile, the NGCP also announced that power interruption will also be experienced in parts of Isabela Electric Cooperative (SELCO) – I and II for two and half hours tomorrow from 8:00 until 10:30 in the morning.

To be affected are the towns of Reina Mercedes, northern part of Cauayan City, Naguilian, Benito Soliven, San Mariano, Ilagan City, Gamu, Burgos, and parts of San Manuel.

Gaydowen said the NGCP will be conducting correction of equipment at Gamu sub-station tomorrow during the more than two-hour brownout Tuesday.

The NGCP said normal operations will immediately resume after work completion and customers of the said company are advised to take necessary precautions and preparations for the scheduled power interruption.
