MANILA, (PNA) — The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) is set to file administrative charges against 30 cops for not performing their checkpoint duties for the upcoming “Barangay Elections” this month.
NCRPO regional director Chief Supt. Marcelo Garbo said he discovered that this 30 cops were not in their positions when he made a surprise inspection.
The cops who have the ranks from Police Officer 1 up to Police Senior Inspector will face charges of “neglect of duty to serious neglect of duty “.
Garbo said that those checkpoints that he inspected without cops on duty were in Caloocan City; Cubao in Quezon City; Mandaluyong City and in España, Manila.
The checkpoint started on September 28 and will last until November 12 is one of the measures being conducted in the implementation of the gun ban.
