ISLAMABAD, (PNA/Xinhua) –At least three personnel of security forces were killed and eight others injured on Sunday morning in a bomb attack in northwest region of Pakistan, local media reported.
According to the reports, some unknown militants attacked the convoy of security forces near the Mirzail check post at the Miranshah road in Bannu district of the country.
The bomb destroyed one army truck completely, killing three soldiers on spot while injuring eight others.
All the bodies and wounded were shifted to the nearby army medical camp before being taken to hospital in Bannu city where majority of the injured were reportedly in critical condition.
The bomb was planted on the roadside and was detonated with a remote controlled device.
No group or militant organization claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
On Sept. 16, at least three security personnel were killed in two different incidents, one bomb and other rocket attack, at the same road when security personnel were on their routine petrol.
