MOSCOW, (PNA/Itar-Tass) — Police at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo airport on Sunday detained a brawler aboard a jet of the Severny Veter airline that was bound for Sharm al-Sheik, Egypt, a spokesman for the Russian Interior Ministry’s department supervising transport told Itar-Tass.
An in-flight security inspector of the airline informed the forces of law and order at 04:20 Moscow Standard Time that one of the passengers had organized a fight inside the jet.
“The inspector asked to take measures because the troublemaker had insulted his with obscene words, had made threats of a murder and had struck the inspector on the head,” the spokesman said.
As a result, the customer was taken off the jet and delivered to the police department located right on the airport’s compound. He offered violent physical resistance to the policemen during detention.
By the time of reporting, a decision had been taken to bring the man to criminal responsibility. A separate procedural decision is due to be taken in connection with his resistance to police officers.
