BALI, Indonesia, (PNA/Xinhua) — New Zealand’s Prime Minister John Key is scheduled to attend the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting on Oct.7-8 in Bali, Indonesia.
He will also attend several other events, including bilateral meetings with APEC economic leaders, the discussion of Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP), the APEC CEO Summit, and the Tourism Development Conference.
“Approximately 44 percent of the global trade figure is contributed by APEC economies members and 70 percent of New Zealand’s trade figure comes from trade with APEC economies and all of these issues will be discussed during the meeting in Bali,” the prime minister said.
Founded in 1989 with a view to promoting regional economic growth, APEC groups Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, China, China ‘s Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Peru, the Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Taiwan(China), Thailand, the United States and Vietnam.
