MANILA, (PNA) -– The Dept. of Trade and Industry and Philippine Exporters Confederation, Inc. (Philexport) is set to bring products of micro, small and medium enterprises of Central Luzon in the forthcoming 2013 Likha Ng Central Luzon Trade Fair.
LCL Trade Fair which is slated on Oct 23-27 at the SM Megamall’s Trade Hall in Mandaluyong City aims to empower MSMEs in Region III by exhibiting export-quality products such as food, home furnishings, houseware and wearables.
”This event will highlight fresh ideas and premium products of more than 150 MSMEs from the seven provinces of Central Luzon namely Aurora, Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarlac and Zambales,” said DTI.
Such trade fair has been an opportunity to MSMEs in promoting their products, creating networks within the industry and even getting clients and partners for their businesses.
Both public and private sectors have been developing the capacity of local MSMEs especially in tapping the international market.
Series of programs were also made to empower MSMEs to encourage them enter the export sector and further benefit in free trade agreements that Philippines are into.
Local MSMEs comprised 99.6 percent of the industry and employed more than 60 percent of the workforce.
