MANILA, (PNA) — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) said they already expected that the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) will be suspended.
Earlier, the poll body said that they slowed down their preparations for the youth polls since they are waiting on the decision of Congress on whether or not to hold the youth polls.
On the other hand, Jimenez said that since President Aquino has signed the law postponing the SK polls, what they intend to do is to inform the public regarding the postponement of the said polls.
“Wala na din naman i full blast sa barangay elections…So ang focus siguro natin e ikalat yung mensahe na wala na SK,” he said.
On Friday, the President signed the bill postponing the SK polls, which is supposed to be synchronized with the village polls.
