MANILA, (PNA) — The Philippine Coast Guard on Friday signed a Memorandum of Agreement with a Malaysian shipping company expected to benefit both Coast Guard personnel and merchant marine cadets.
PCG Commandant Rear Admiral Rodolfo Isorena and Malaysian Industrial Shipping Corporation (MISC) Fleet Vice President Captain Rajalingam Subramaniam entered into the agreement in simple ceremonies at the Coast Guard headquarters in Manila.
Isorena said the MOA will allow PCG officers and PCG-Philippine Merchant Marine cadets to undergo sea-phase training aboard MISC vessels.
