MOSCOW, (PNA/Itar-Tass) — The results of the recent regional elections and the party strategy in the face of increasing political competition will be the main issues at a regular, 14th Congress of United Russia, which will begin on Thursday.
The forum’s plenary session with the participation of the party leader, RF Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, will take place at Moscow’s Gostiny Dvor on Oct 5.
And on Thursday, the delegates will gather in the Bor recreation house outside Moscow to discuss during two days – on October 3-4, the party agenda.
They are expected to seriously analyze not only the past election campaign, but also the work of the party’s MP factions in regional legislative assemblies, with taking into account the further democratization of the country’s political system.
Members of the State Duma, Federation Council, heads of the regions from among the party members, as well as the mayors of regional centers, chairmen of legislative assemblies, heads of public reception offices of the party chairman are invited to attend.
