VLADIVOSTOK, (PNA/Itar-Tass) — A three-day conference of the International Association for Intercultural Cooperation Studies (IAICS) opened on the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) campus here on Thursday, with delegations from 28 countries participating.
The attending linguists, culturologists, political scientists, sociologists, religious scholars and other experts will discuss the problems of establishing intercultural communication.
According to FEFU Rector Sergei Ivanets, it is symbolic that the forum is taking place on the Russkiy (Russian) Island, on the campus of a Federal university which even during its construction became a floor for intercultural communication.
“Multilingualism has now become habitual for FEFU, a higher learning establishment which intends to get integrated actively into the world educational space,” he emphasized
