PNP recalls 49 trainor cops detailed to PPSC

MANILA, (PNA) — The Philippine National Police has recalled 49 police personnel who are currently serving in various capacities with the Philippine Public Safety College. (PPSC), Senior Superintendent Reuben Theodore Sindac, PNP-Public Information Office chief said on Wednesday.

Sindac said on the instructions of PNP Chief, Director General Alan L Purisima, the Directorate for Personnel and Records Management issued a series of Special Orders on September 27, 2013 terminating the detail of 19 Police Commissioned Officers and 30 Police Non-Commissioned Officers with the PPSC, a training bureau of the DILG that administers the Philippine National Police Academy, and other training institutions for the police, fire and jail services.

He said that those recalled include the Director of the Philippine National Police Academy, Chief Superintendent Noel G Constantino, his Deputy Director, SSupt. Leonardo M Cesneros, PNPA Commandant of Cadets, SSupt Jon A Arnaldo, and other Police Commissioned Officers currently performing official duty with the PNPA.

According to Sindac, the 49 police personnel recalled have already reached the maximum detail period of six months as provided under (National Police Commission (Napolcom) Resolution No. 2010-145 issued on May 6, 2010.

The Napolcom Resolution provides that: “The period of detail shall be for a maximum of six (6) months which may be renewed for another six months upon the request of the receiving office or agency, which shall be with the concurrence of the concerned personnel, but in no case shall not exceed two (2) years, ” Sindac cited.

Sindac said that the 49 recalled personnel will be temporarily assigned with the Personnel Holding and Accounting Office prior to reassignment to regular PNP Units and Offices.
