Jake, Roxanne kiss in public

PNS — ROXANNE Guinoo celebrated her birthday on February 14 but she was a no show at the party for February celebrants hosted by Star Magic’s Rikka Dylim.

Meantime, fans of her and Jake Cuenca are pleased as she has just returned to “Palos”.

Aside from this, it’s obvious that they no longer hide their relationship and they were seen kissing in public recently, as if declaring openly their love for each other to Bangs Garcia who was earlier also being linked to Jake.

Jake also has a new love interest in “Palos”, former Miss Earth Canada and PBB Celebrity Edition 2 housemate Riza Santos and they even have a steamy scene in the action series.

Riza plays Princess Simona, a mystery woman who holds the key to a mission of Palos or Gian Carlo (Jake). Out on a special assignment, Palos needs to get the most coveted password that they have been trying to obtain since Day 1.

This is the only password that will activate the microchip that Palos needs. But since the secret password is tattooed on Princess Simon’s leg, Palos needs to think of a way to obtain this. Since Palos is quick and suave, he charms his way to lure the beautiful princess.

Shot in Macau, China where Jake and his sexy leading lady Bangs Garcia have also done their fight scenes, find out how Palos will carry out his mission in “Palos” every night on ABS-CBN’s Primetime Bida, after “Lobo”.

Piolo game show buff

PNS — PIOLO Pascual is one of the most sought-after celebrity endorsers today, plugging everything from shampoo to watches to coffee to fried chicken. Tomorrow night, he’ll be facing a different kind of challenge as the main celebrity player facing the mob of 100 opponents in “1 vs. 100”.

He admits not being a fan of game shows as he had previously guest in “Game KNB?”, “Deal or No Deal” and even “Wheel of Fortune” and he wasn’t so lucky.
“Sa ‘Game KNB’, when Kris Aquino was still the host, wala akong nasagot sa questions niya, kahit isa,” he says. “In ‘Deal or No Deal’ naman, I opened the P2 million briefcase twice and won only P500.

Buti pa sa ‘Wheel’ I got P242,000. Sa totoo lang, sa lahat ng game shows, ‘1 Vs. 100’ is the most intimidating as it will test not just your general knowledge but your ability to strategize against 100 opponents of the mob. Isa pa, with Edu Manzano as the host, you will never know when he’s telling the truth or not kapag may mahihirap na questions. He’s really good at it.”

What he doesn’t know is that the chosen mob members are really good at it, too, and will give him a very hard time, what with the newly introduced “10 Picks” rule where the main player chooses 10 mob members that he must then all eliminate before he can win the P2 million jackpot prize.

How did Piolo prepare for “1 Vs. 100”? “I just pray. That’s all the preparation I need. If it’s His will that I win, then I just leave everything to the Lord.”

Will the Lord be kind to him and make him outsmart the mob? Find out this Saturday night in “1 Vs. 100” after “Volta” on ABS-CBN.

Gretchen avoids talking about Tonyboy

PNS — GRETCHEN Barretto was supposed to leave with longtime companion Tonyboy Cojuangco for his next round of treatment in Boston, but at the last minute, Tonyboy didn’t take her with him, fanning a new wave of rumors that they must really be on the verge of separation as Greta won’t stop seeing her rumored paramour, Dodie Puno.

When she guested in “Startalk” last Saturday, Greta refused to talk about Tonyboy at all and each time she’s asked about him, she’d just break into song, “Fly Me to the Moon”, to evade the issue. But she told some friends it was her choice to stay home to keep her daughter Dominique company as the girl won’t be able to join them in their trip to the U.S. this time because of school.

“Ayoko na lang pag-usapan pa si Tonyboy when I’m interviewed as I don’t want to be accused of using him pati sa pagpo-promote ko ng album ko,” she said.

Greta just finished taping the music video of her carrier single, “Please Don’t Ask Me”, with Zanjoe Marudo as her leading man. She’s supposed to have a kissing scene with him but she declined. “Ayoko na ng kissing scenes,” she says. “I really avoid that.” She must have been traumatized by the real life kissing scene she did with John Estrada that became very controversial.
