MOSCOW, (PNA/Itar-Tass) — Russia’s Defense Ministry delegation has met NATO representatives in Brussels to discuss missile defense, the ministry’s press service told Itar-Tass.
“NATO’s Air and Missile Defense Committee met on Monday within the Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council. The meeting involved deputy chief of Russia’s General Staff Aleksander Postnikov and chief of the Main Directorate for International Military Cooperation Sergei Koshelev,” the press service said.
Russia “held a news briefing to assess the situation related to missile defense and the change of America’s missile defense plans, which had been declared in March”, the press service said.
The Russian delegation visited the Headquarters of Allied Command Operations in Mons to met Chief of Staff, General Werner Freers for talks on military cooperation.
During the meeting, Russian military officials informed NATO representatives about the Russian-Belarusian exercises, “Zapad 2013”.
