HANOI, (PNA/Xinhua) — The Yamaha ASEAN Under-13 Football Cup will kick off in Vietnam’s capital Hanoi on Oct. 4-6, with participation of six teams from four countries, announced the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) on Tuesday.
This year’s tournament, co-organized by Yamaha Motor Vietnam and VFF, will attract two teams from Indonesia, two teams from host Vietnam, and two teams each from Malaysia and Thailand.
This is the sixth version of the annual event, and the second time Vietnam host it.
When the tournament debuted in 2008 in Vietnam’s central Da Nang City, the host team won 4-0 over Malaysia to take the title. In 2012, Thailand won the Cup in Malaysia.
