SINGAPORE, (PNA/Xinhua) — Singapore stocks finished higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 13.63 points, or 0.43 percent, to close at 3,181.50.
A total of 3.68 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.14 billion Singapore dollars (910.5 million U.S. dollars).
Gainers outnumbered losers 242 to 190, while 527 others finished unchanged.
The STI index lost 42.31 points, or 1.32 percent, to close at 3, 167.87 on Monday.
