TEHRAN, (PNA/IRNA) — New Managing Director of the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) Mohammad Khoddadi said the body should work to promote the ideals of the Islamic system.
Making the remark in a ceremony here Sunday morning to mark the beginning of his work as IRNA chief, he said that by inauguration of the government of prudence and hope in the country some two months ago, IRNA, too, has to focus more on dissemination of information to resume the position it deserves.
Commenting on guidelines of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, he pointed to IRNA double mission to reflect the necessities of the society and focus on the achievements of the system.
Khoddadi pointed to wisdom, equilibrium and efficiency as characteristics necessary for a news organization which is about eight decades old and said that IRNA exclusively needs to be vital and dynamic to be able to fulfill its mission.
He further highlighted the highly-qualified and skilled human resources IRNA possesses and noted that the two organizations affiliated to the news organization namely School of Media Studies and Iran Newspaper add to its potentials.
