CATBALOGAN CITY, Samar, (PNA) — A former village chief was gunned down shortly before noontime Sunday in Purok 2, Brgy Lagundi, Catbalogan City.
Police identified the victim as Felomino Cabarriban alias Meno, a known political supporter of the city administration and an active campaigner for Liberal Party (LP) candidates in the previous polls.
The slain leader, who also served as village head for several consecutive terms, was gunned down around 11:10 a.m. by two unidentified assailants in a cockpit area in the vicinity of his village.
