ISLAMABAD, (PNA/IRNA) -– A powerful car bomb blast killed at least 30 people‚ including women and children‚ in the Pakistani city of Peshawar on Sunday.
Dozens of shops and vehicles caught fire after the blast at a crowded Bazaar in Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, witnesses said.
Doctors said that nearly 70 injured were brought to the citys main hospital while several injured were registered critical.
The bomb‚ placed in a vehicle‚ was triggered by a remote-controlled device, Commissioner Peshawar, Sahibzada Anis said.
The blast occurred near a Church which was also attacked by two suicide bomber last Sunday and killed over 80 people, mostly Christians.
No group claimed responsibility for the deadly attack, the second in the city in a week.
