TEHRAN, (PNA/IRNA) — President Hassan Rohani arrived home Saturday, ending his five-day stay in New York to attend the 68th Session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The Iranian President also delivered speech at the high-level meeting on nuclear disarmament and met with world leaders and senior officials there.
Upon arrival, Rohani was welcomed by first Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri and senior Advisor to the Supreme Leader Ali Akbar Velayati.
One of the important events in New York was the phone call between the Iranian President and his US counterpart Barack Obama minutes before he left for John F. Kennedy International Airport.
The two held talks on various issues including regional developments as well as political will for quick resolve of the nuclear issue.
