CAMP GEN. SIMEON OLA, Legazpi City, (PNA) — The long arm of the law has finally collared a man who eluded arrest for murder, and now a council member of Barangay Maolingon, Mandaon, Masbate province.
Joint operatives of the Regional Investigation Unit 5, Masbate Criminal Investigation and Detection Team and Mandaon Municipal Police Office arrested Barangay Kagawad Conrado Oliva at 5:30 a.m. Saturday, at his residence in Sitio Paradahan, Barangay Maolingon.
A police report said Oliva was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Lita Tolentino-Genilo of Regional Trial Court Branch 91 in Quezon City for murder docketed under C.C. No. Q10-168961, with no bail recommended.
The suspect had been under surveillance for several days before the arresting officers caught him while asleep with his family at his residence.
