MANILA, (PNA) — The Philippine Army announced it will be turning one 10-door apartment unit to deserving soldiers this Monday.
Lt. Col. Randolph Cabangbang, Army spokesperson, said PA chief Lt. Gen. Noel A. Coballes will lead the turn-over ceremony.
He said that this program is part of the PA to construct 28 units of 10-door apartment with ground development distributed Army-wide under the AFP Modernization Fund.
Cabangbang added that this 23rd unit to be turned over out of the 28, nine of which are for in-camp personnel and 19 are dedicated for the Army divisions.
The allotted nine units for the Army headquarters in Fort Bonifacio were already completed, while constructions are on-going for the remaining units in the Army divisions.
“The project aims to boost the morale of its personnel by providing decent and affordable homes to their families especially when they are away grappling predicaments in the field,” the PA spokesperson stressed.
He added that beneficiaries of the new housing units can enjoy a decent living in a three-story townhouse with three main bedrooms and an undivided attic which can be converted into functional rooms like play area for the kids, music room or anything that the family desires.
