ZAMBOANGA CITY, (PNA) — The Zamboanga City Water District is advising the thousands of evacuees to properly use the water they supply in the different evacuation centers amid the standoff here.
ZCWD information officer Dolores Galvan made the call after they have observed that “water is not being used properly.”
The ZCWD has a total of seven water tankers with a total capacity of 96 cubic meters that are servicing 10 evacuation centers including the sports complex, which is the biggest.
“Right now, we can observe because of the abundance of water that we are providing in evacuation centers, water is not being used properly,” Galvan said.
“We appeal to the evacuees on the proper use of water so that everybody can use for drinking and others,” she added.
Meanwhile, she assured of sufficient supply of water for the evacuees as the ZCWD tankers regularly deliver water daily.
She said the water being delivered to the evacuees come from the production wells of Boalan, Gov. Camins Avenue and Gov. Ramos Avenue.
