Posted on September 27, 2013

MANILA, (PNA) — As part of its 20th anniversary celebration, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) will hold the 2013 Awards Ceremony and Appreciation Lunch for stakeholders in Region III on 2 October 2013 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Seminar Room, BSP Cabanatuan Branch, Cabanatuan City.

Monetary Board Member Armando L. Suratos will lead in honoring this year’s awardees and stakeholders.

The BSP will confer three awards—two for respondents to the Business Expectations Survey (BES) and one for the information sources for the Report on Regional Economic Developments.

The Outstanding Respondent among Large and Medium Firms and the Outstanding Respondent among Small Firms will be conferred to the BES respondents selected from among the country’s top corporations in Region III that have participated regularly to the survey for four quarters in 2012 with timely, complete, accurate and consistent responses.

Meanwhile, the Outstanding Partner for Report on Regional Economic Developments will be given to the government agencies and institutions that consistently provided the BSP with complete and timely information support to have an effective scan of the environment in the region.

The event in Cabanatuan City is the eighth in a series of nine BSP regional stakeholders’ events following the awards ceremonies held in Regions IV, V, VI, VII, IX, XI and XII from 30 July to 1 October 2013.

The last leg of these activities will be conducted on 8 October 2013 in La Union to honor stakeholders in various awards categories.

This event is expected to further strengthen the partnerships between the BSP and its stakeholders in information gathering and advocacy campaigns that will help the BSP carry out its mandate of maintaining price stability and promoting financial stability as well as ensuring an effective payments and settlements system in the country.
