MANILA, (PNA) — Handicapped Filipino football players who will compete in the Special Olympics in Australia late this year will USA will get funding from the Henry Moran Foundation charity golf tournament on Oct. 17 at Valley Golf and Country Club in Antipolo.
The organizers, led by HMF chairman Daniel Moran and head of Futbol program Ed Formoso, are hoping to raise at least P3 million to support the participation of the team in Castle Hills, New South Wales, said tee off is at 8 a.m.
As part of the HMF’s fund-raising activity, an art exhibition and auction of paintings will also be held at the Valley Golf banquet hall.
The auctioning of artwork pieces by masters such as Ang Kiukok, Anita Magsaysay, and Juvenal Sanso will be performed by the acapella group Baihana, which will also provide the entertainment during awards rites.
