Video camera sa mga bangko sa San Juan aprubado na

LAHAT ng mga bangko sa San Juan City ay kailangan nang maglagay ng video monitoring device matapos na aprubahan ng Sangguniang Panglungsod ang ordinansa ukol dito.

Sinabi ni Konsehal Dante Santiago, may-akda ng Ordinance No. 40-2007, na layunin ng ordinansa na “”maintain peace and order by enacting measures to prevent and suppress lawlessness and disorders,” gayundin ang pagkakaloob ng kaukulang penalties sa lalabag sa batas na ito.

Ikinatwiran ni Santiago na kahit pa mayroon nang ipinatututpad na security measures ang mga bangko, ang mga walang takot na kriminal, sa pamamagitan ng pagdadala ng matataas na kalibre ng baril, ay ma-tagumpay na napapasok at napagnanakawan ang mga bangko.

Sa pamamagitan ng paglalagay ngvideo camera s sa loob at labas ng mga bangko, maire-record lahat ang mga taong pumapasok at lumalabas sa kani-kanilang establisimiyento, paliwanag ni Santiago.

Binigyang-diin din niya na sa pamamagitan ng video camera, ang pulisya at mga imbestigador ay madaling makikila ang mga taong nasa likod ng pangho-holdap.

Ayon sa naturang ordinansa ni Santiago, ang araw-araw na recording ng video camera ay dapat na itago ng mga bangko hanggang 15 araw “for review purposes and refenrce,” at saka lamang ito puwedeng burahin.

Ayon pa sa ordinansa , dapat bigyan ng “access” ng mga bangko ang awtoridad ng footage na kuha ng video camera kung hinihingi ng pagkakataon.
