MANILA, (PNA) — Sen. Jinggoy Estrada called his fellow lawmakers in both houses of Congress as “hypocrites” after only he and two other fellow senators were singled out in the P10 billion “pork barrel” funds scam probe.
In a privilege speech, Estrada also lashed out at Senate Blue Ribbon committee chair Teofisto Guingona Jr for repeatedly calling his name and Senators Juan Ponce Enrile and Ramon “Bong” Revilla, Jr during the Senate probe on the scam.
“Kailangan po bang ulit-ulitin ang aming pangalan na parang bingi o tanga ang kausap?”
He said the media, the ongoing Senate probe and the special audit report released by the Commission on Audit have made them appear to be the “worst thieves.”
He said Guingona seems to limit the probe to non-government organizations linked to Janet Lim Napoles, the alleged mastermind of the scam.
“Ano ba ito? Bastusan na ba ito?… Bakit hindi sila nababanggit? Dahil sila ba ay kaalyado?” Estrada said.
“‘Wag kayong magmalinis at lalong lalo na, ‘wag kayo masyadong ipokrito,” he added.
