TKS Petron Inter-Club Karatefest announces photo contest

DAVAO City, (PNA) -– Action shots will have the chance to win in the photo contest during the 2013 AAK Inter-Club Karatedo Age-Group and Seniors Championships set on Sept. 28 at the 5th floor of the Gaisano Grand Citimall here.

“Only action shots will qualify and no flash be allowed,” said Rommel Tan, Association for the Advancement of Karatedo (AAK) Davao chief, at the recent SCOOP forum at The Royal Mandaya Hotel.

The first placer will earn P3,000, second P2,000 and third P1,000. The entries must be printed and submitted in an 8×12 size.

Tan said at least 100 players are expected to see action in the tournament.

“Aside from Davao City, we are also expecting teams from Bukidnon, General Santos City, Panabo and Cagayan de Oro,” he said.

The teams invited are the Shorin Chi, Comatcom, SSKC of Bukidnon, RDWCE Karatedo of Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon, Cagayan de Oro, Magsaysay Polytechnic College of General Santos City, Notre Dame GenSan, Panabo Traditional, Tagum and host AAK Davao.

The one-day event is sponsored by TKS Petron, Beefit Gym and Aerobics and AAK Davao parents.The categories are the boy and girl’s Kata and Kumite for 6-7 yrs. old,8-9 yrs. old, 10-11 yrs. old, 12-13 yrs. old, 14-15 yrs. old, 16-17 yrs. Old; Seniors’ category – Above 18, -60 kgs., -70 kgs. And open weight and Kata for Men; – 55 kgs., – 60 kgs., and open weight and kata for women.

Medals and certificates will be given to the winners in the event serving as a tune-up for the upcoming Adidas International Cup in Manila.
