SAN CARLOS CITY, (PNA) -— Some 50 senior citizens were the first to be given injection through the “Bakuna Center” when it was launched Tuesday by the Dept. of Health at the Pangasinan provincial hospital.
This is part of the latter’s 68th founding anniversary celebration this week.
Dr. Policarpio Manuel, PPH chief, said the DOH funded the construction and operation of the center which is the first vaccine center in the entire province.“We are honored because DOH chose the PPH to be the host of the center”, Manuel said..
The “Bakuna center” offers all kinds of vaccination including all types of toxicology like anti- venom vaccine.
Furthermore, the center also gives the first shot of seven anti- rabies vaccine for free as the provincial government shouldered the cost of the medicine.
Manuel said that the center forms part of the many developments the hospital had achieved over the past years.
PPH now has 2D echo, digitalized laboratory, improve X- ray machine.
The hospital is also working out for the purchase of a CT scan machine.
“We are looking forward to owning a CT scan since we now have an operator/ reader”, he said.
The hospital not only focuses on upgrading its facilities but also the improvement of services and relationship between employees and patients as they have been receiving complaints against hospital staffs.
“As suggested in our theme for this year, going forward, we are looking forward to a more efficient staff and upgraded facilities since we have the support of Governor Amado Espino Jr.”.
