MANILA, (PNA) — The Supreme Court Tuesday ordered the petitioners against the Priority Development Assistance Fund and Malampaya Fund to reply to the consolidated comment of the Office of the Solicitor General.
According to Atty. Theodore Te, Chief of the SC Public Information Office and Spokesman, the SC has given the petitioners seven days within which to submit their respective reply.
Those who filed the petitions against the pork barrel system are former Manila Councilor Greco Belgica, the Social Justice Society and former Boac, Marinduque Mayor Pedrito Nepomuceno.
In the consolidated comment of the OSG, it asked the SC to lift the temporary restraining order against the release of the remaining PDAF for the year 2013 and against the use of the Malampaya Fund for projects not related to energy.
The OSG also asked the SC to dismiss the said petitions for lack of merit.
