MANILA, (PNA) — Philippine Airlines Express will resume operations of its Cebu-Zamboanga-Cebu route after security conditions have improved in Zamboanga City.
At present, PAL Express has twice a day trips on its Manila-Zamboanga-Manila route after the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) last Thursday lifted the 25-mile “no-fly zone” radius at the Zamboanga International Airport after security conditions improved.
Starting Tuesday (Sept. 24) up to Friday (Sept. 27), PAL Express will have the following flight schedules: Flight 2P 993 departs Manila at 9:00 a.m., arrives Zamboanga 10:40 a.m.; Flight 2P 994 departs Zamboanga 11:10 a.m., arrives Manila 12:40 ; Flight 2P 997 departs Manila 1:50 pm, arrives Zamboanga 3:30 pm; and Flight 2P 998 departs Zamboanga 4:00 pm, arrives Manila 5:30 pm
But for Sept. 25 & 27 PAL Express will have the following flights only for the Cebu-Zamboanga-Cebu route: Flight 2P 241 departs Cebu 2:00 pm, arrives Zamboanga 3:10 pm; Flight 2P 242 departs Zamboanga 3:30 pm, arrives Cebu 4:40 pm.
PAL Express flights from Zamboanga to Davao, Jolo and Tawi-Tawi remain suspended.
PAL Express said that priority will be given to ticketed passengers with bookings on the above flights and dates. Any remaining seats will be given to passengers of previously cancelled flights on first-come, first-serve basis.
