CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga, (PNA) — Hausland’s Fiesta Communities is proposing a partnership with the provincial government for a housing program intended for employees at the provincial capitol.
Hausland president Willy Tan said the housing project will be dubbed as “Handog Pabahay” for capitol employees.
Tan said he already talked to Governor Lilia Pineda about the project, wherein he got a positive reaction.
In his proposal to the provincial government, Tan said his company will handle the development and documentation of the housing units for capitol employees who wish to avail houses at discounted rates on a long term basis.
Tan, however, disclosed that there is no suitable land where they could develop the housing community for capitol employees, as the land owned by the provincial government in Barangay San Pedro Cutud is not feasible because of the tail dike.
“That is why we are presenting options to you so we would know what directions to take regarding the partnership. We think it should be realized now so we could start the site development by December this year,” he said.
Hausland, he said, is more than willing to offer its existing projects under the same terms while the provincial government looks for an appropriate site for the housing project.
“We could offer to capitol employees our Fiesta Communities project in Sabanilla, Mexico. It is just one and a half kilometers from SM City Pampanga and minutes away from capitol. It does not get flooded, is accessible and is near commercial areas and schools. We are more than willing to extend special discounts and low interest rates for interested employees,” Tan said.
Meanwhile, first district board member Cris Garbo said that the provincial board will discuss Hausland’s options with Governor Pineda this week.
