MANILA, (PNA) — The De La Salle Green Archers walloped the Far Eastern University Tamaraws, 74-69, to take Game One of the UAAP 76 Semifinals on Saturday at the Mall Of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

The Archers are now one win away from entering the finals.

On the other hand, the Tamaraws are on the brink of elimination and need two straight wins to advance to the Finals.

L.A Revilla erupted for the Taft-based squad by finishing with 20 points, three rebounds and three assists, he also fired six three pointers to finish with 6-of-11 shooting from beyond the arc.

The Tamaraws threatened to steal the victory from the Green Archers after launching a 9-2 avalanche to cut the latter’s lead to five, 68-63, with 1:20 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.

Revilla came to the rescue for DLSU, after firing a cold blooded dagger trey that gave them a eight point advantage, 71-63, with 55 ticks left in the game.

FEU didn’t recover from there after misfiring their three point attempts, FEU’s only conversion was RR Garcia’s useless trey in the final four seconds of the game.

UAAP MVP Terrence Romeo came out strong for the Tamaraws after pacing his team with 22 points in a losing effort.

With this win, the Green Archers grabbed the 2nd seed in the UAAP Final Four and are one win away from reaching the finals since 2008.

The scores:

DLSU 74: Revilla 20, Perkins 14, Teng 13, Van Opstal 6, T Torres 6, Salem 6, Vosotros 4, N Torres 3, Tampus 2, De La Paz 0

FEU 69: Romeo 22, Garcia 16, Belo 9, Tolomia 6, Mendoza 6, Pogoy 4, Hargrove 4, Cruz 2, Sentcheu 2
