KABUL, (PNA/Xinhua) — Afghan security forces raided Taliban hideouts in Nejrab District of Kapisa Province on Saturday, killing 11 militants including a shadowy district governor, the country’s Interior Ministry said in a statement released here.
“During a special operation against Taliban in Nejrab District of Kapisa Province, 11 rebels, including a shadowy governor named Muhibullah alias Muhib Lang, were killed,” the statement added.
Muhibullah, according to the statement, was commanding 120 Taliban fighters and his elimination is a big blow to the Taliban outfit.
Taliban militants have yet to make comment.
