NCRPO set file charges vs suspects in Davantes killing

Posted on September 22, 2013

MANILA, (PNA) — Operatives of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) on Sunday said that it is set to file criminal charges this week against the six suspects who brutally slayed advertising account executive Kristelle “Kae” Davantes last Sept. 7.

NCRPO Deputy Regional Director for Operations, Chief Supt. Christopher Laxa said they are now preparing the charges to be filed against the suspects they would possibly file charges of robbery with either homicide or murder

Laxa, also head of Task Force Davantes, further explained that the case to be filed will be determined based on the accounts of the suspects and the pieces of evidence that they have gathered.

He added that they are carefully studying what charges to file against the suspects to prevent technicality as they are now in the process of documentation and preparation of the case.

He said the filing of charges will push through despite three other suspects remained at large.

The task force, Laxa added, will still continue the manhunt operations against the three suspects identified only as Jomar, Jorec, and Buzzer, who all remained at large.

He said the charges would definitely be filed at the Las Piñas City prosecutors office since some of the suspects admitted that they abducted Davantes in front of their residence at Moonwalk Village in Las Piñas.

The two suspects identified as Lloyd Enriques and Jojo Diel are now in the custody of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) at the Southern Police District Command.

Laxa said Diel decided to surrender after he was already identified and convinced by his father.

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) first arrested 19-year-old Samuel Decimo, who is now under the agency’s custody.

Decimo earlier admitted that their only intention is to rob Davantes but when she saw their faces they realized she would be able to identify them so they killed her.
