Suspected big-time drug pusher falls in Pampanga

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, (PNA) — A suspected big time drug pusher in the province was arrested on Friday by combined police operatives following a simultaneous raid in his two houses in barangay Magsaysay, Guagua and barangay San Roque Dau, Lubao, both in this province.

Sr. Supt. Oscar Albayalde, Pampanga police provincial director, identified the arrested alleged drug lord as Jesus Herreros Bartolo alias Boy Bartolo, 56, a resident of Purok 7 in Barangay Magsaysay, Guagua town.

Albayalde said that combined operatives of Guagua police, Special Weapons and Action Team and Intelligence branch swooped down at the first house of the suspect armed with search warrant issued by Judge Jonel Mercado, executive judge of Regional Trial Court Branch 52 of Guagua.

Confiscated from the house of the suspect were caliber .45 pistol shooter with magazine, one US automatic carbine with 61 pieces of bullets, a plastic sachet containing shabu, a digital weighing scale and assorted drug paraphernalia.

Albayalde said that a certain Armand Vista,38, a resident of Barangay Bancal, Guagua town who also in the house was arrested.

In a raid in the suspect’s second house in Lubao town, a hand grenade was confiscated while a body of a dead male was found at the septic tank.

Albayalde said that the body was identified as Ronel Manalansan, 26, a resident of Barangay San Pedro, Guagua town who was reported missing since July this year.

He said a certain Mary Ann Santiago was also arrested at Bartolo’s second house.

Abayalde said Bartolo, Vista and Santiago are presently detained at Gugua Police for further investigation.

He said that Bartolo has been in a month long under surveillance by Guagua police after receiving information on the alleged illegal drug activities in the town and nearby towns.
