ILOILO CITY, (PNA)– The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Western Visayas office based here will embark on beach clean-up activities along the coastline of Tatoy’s Manokan in Arevalo district toward Calumpang in the adjoining Molo district starting 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 21.
Simultaneously, the DENR’s Environmental Management Bureau (EMB-6) will have a waterways clean-up under its program dubbed “Linis Estero” at the Iloilo-Batiano River waterways and tributaries.
These activities undertaken by the DENR-6 is in line with the observance of the International Coastal Clean-up celebration.
In the afternoon, an on-the-spot poster making contest for elementary pupils will also be held at the Lobby, 3rd Level, Robinson’s Place-Iloilo.
