CAIRO, (PNA/Xinhua) — Egyptian explosive experts managed to defuse two bombs planted on a Cairo metro line, official news agency MENA reported on Thursday.
The two bombs were found 100 meters away from Helmeyet el- Zaytoun station in northeast Cairo.
The security forces is combing the district to make sure no other explosives are planted at other stations, said Munir Sayed, the chief of the transportation police.
The underground networks have been partially closed, the report said.
Last week, the Egyptian military defused a bomb planted on a railroad linking the canal cities of Ismailia and Suez.
