MANILA, (PNA) –The country’s mass rail systems will offer free rides to government employees on Thursday as part of the 113th year anniversary of the Civil Service Commission.
The Metro Rail Transit Corporation said its free rides will start at 7:00 a.m. up to 10:00 a.m., and 5:00 p.m. up to 8:00 p.m.
Government employees will have to present their valid IDs and fill-up a passenger boarding pass for the free ride.
MRT Line 3 runs from North Avenue to Pasay Rotunda in Pasay City and back, via Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA).
For its part, the Light Rail Transit Authority said the free rides will cover both Lines 1 and 2 but will be open to government employees only from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., and 5:00 p.m. up to 7:00 p.m. Government employees will just have to present their valid IDs to avail of the free ride.
LRT Line 1 runs from Roosevelt avenue-EDSA to Baclaran via Rizal avenue and Taft avenue.
LRT Line 2 is from Santolan station in Pasig City all the way to Recto station in Manila via Marcos highway, Aurora boulevard, Ramon Magsaysay boulevard, and Recto Avenue.
