ZAMBOANGA CITY, (PNA) -– The Philippine Red Cross (PRC)-Zamboanga City chapter has warned against impostors roaming around aboard a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) using PRC flag as the standoff enters the seventh day, Sunday.
PRC-Zamboanga City Chapter Administrator Victor Liozo, Jr. issued the warning Sunday after receiving a report that a Black Fortuner without registered plate with unidentified people on board is “going around with hoisted PRC flag.”
Liozo said they have a total of nine “authorized” vehicles with corresponding registered plate numbers being used by PRC personnel and volunteers rendering humanitarian services amid the standoff.
Liozo urged the public to immediately report to the nearest authorities once they would chance upon the vehicle for appropriate actions.
So far, 12 staffs and volunteers were wounded while rendering humanitarian services amid the fighting between government troops and “Misuari-faction” of Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) rebels.
The standoff started when the rebels led by Misuari’s trusted aide Habier Malik infiltrated this city.
