DAVAO CITY, (PNA) -– The Davao Light and Power Company (DLPC) has clarified it was not affected by the scheduled power outage Saturday as announced by the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP).
Ross Luga, assistance vice president for corporate communications of DLPC, said that so far their clients in Davao City, Panabo City, Sto. Tomas and Braulio Dujali in Davao del Norte never suffered the brunt of continued power interruptions in other parts of Davao region and neighboring areas.
Luga said that DLPC was not affected by the scheduled Preventive Maintenance and Servicing (PMS) as it has already transferred its load to nearby sub-transmission lines.
“This spared our customers from the long service disruption brought about by the PMS,” he said.
Earlier, NGCP announced that it will conduct a shutdown of its Davao-Digos 69-kv transmission facilities Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m affecting all electric utilities connected to the line.
