MANILA, (PNA) — In this digital era sharing stories is always easy, one of the means of doing this is through ‘Wattpad’. Bearing this in mind, Wattpad officials will conduct a talk in the 34th Manila International Book Fair (MIBF) on Thursday.

Allen Lau –Wattpad’s co-founder– will speak with some of their writers from 10:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m at the Stage Area of the SMX Convention Center.

The talk will dwell on how they got 300,000 fans and 100 million readers with the help of their writers.

Wattpad was founded by Allen Lau and Ivan Yuen in Toronto, Ontario. It is a large community for discovering and sharing stories.

Thousands of new stories are added every day in Wattpad offering social and mobile reading experiences.

“Every minute Wattpad connects more than 10,000 reads with a new story from some thousands that are being added in out library,” it explained in a statement.

“Wattpad is also available as an iOS and Android app., over 70 percent of Wattpad readers enjoy their stories using a mobile device even when offline,” it added.

According to Wattpad, there are more than 500 writers who had published pieces that have been read more than a million times.

It has a completely free environment where writers are allowed to publish their work serially. It also encourages readers to create cover arts and video trailers.
