ILAGAN CITY, (PNA) — If the Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) will be scrapped, there will be no opposition and no questions for three Isabela-based representatives.
These were the claims of Isabela Representatives Rodolfo Albano III (1st District), Silvestre Bello III (1BAP Party-list) and Jose Panganiban Jr. (Anac-IP Party-list) following the nationwide clamor for abolition of pork barrel funds.
For Albano III, the implementation of projects lies in the executive department “so we are not involved at all in disbursing the funds.”
As to Bello III, new congress representatives like him are ‘injudiciously’ being dragged into the controversy.
For Panganiban, he would support President Aquino III’s line budgeting scheme to put away the alleged anomalous PDAF issue.
He, however, said the PDAF of the President must also be scrapped to ensure fairness among the branches of government.
