MANILA, (PNA) — Rogue Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) members fired two mortar rounds on Tuesday morning apparently targeting the vessels docked at the Zamboanga City port but failed to hit any of them.
A report from the Coast Guard Station-Zamboanga City said the two mortar rounds exploded after hitting the water at the Zamboanga City port at around 7 in the morning.
The explosion was some 150 meters away from the CGS-Zamboanga headquarters.
No one was hurt or killed in the explosion. The CGS Zamboanga said no property was damaged in the explosion either.
The Coast Guard said that maritime activities continue to be suspended Tuesday as the conflict has not been resolved.
