Palawan to hold Family Rosary Crusade silver jubilee

Posted on September 9, 2013

PUERTO PRINCESA CITY, (PNA) — The Holy Trinity University Family Rosary Crusade (HTU-FRC) here will be celebrating its silver jubilee in a nine-day prayer vigil to the Blessed Mother, Our Lady of the Rosary of La Naval.

Starting on September 26, the Family Rosary Crusade will help, guide and provide inspiration for its entire membership to help spread the message of the Blessed Virgin Mary on the importance of family prayer, especially the Most Holy Rosary, in protecting families and binding them together.

Western Command (Wescom) chief, Lt. Gen. Rustico O. Guerrero, also an advocate for the preservation of families and Christian values, chairs the safety and security committee during the celebration.

In this year’s gathering, Archbishop of Puerto Princesa, His Eminence Pedro D. Arigo, DD, will serve as the main celebrant on the Holy Eucharist on the feast day, Oct. 5, on the chosen theme, “Believe, Live, and Lead the Faith like Mary.”

“For 25 years, Family Rosary Crusade, through the sponsorship and support of the Holy Trinity University and the Immaculate Conception Cathedral Parish, continues the mission of expressing gratitude to Blessed Mother Mary for all the love and care she shared with us in our pilgrimage of faith,” said Sr. Josmarie Salamania, order of preachers overall chairperson of the 25th FRC.

Salamania said that on Sept. 26, 27, 30 through Oct. 4, rosary every 4:00 p.m .will be held at the HTU San Lorenzo Ruiz audi-gym; and at the Immaculate Conception Parish on Sept. 28 at 4:00 p.m. and Sept. 29 at 2:00 p.m.

“We are personally inviting you to be one with us in the evangelizing mission of the church. Together, let us pray for our families against the subtle attack to family and life, and to be one with those who are working for peace, unity and justice in our country and the whole world,” she said.
