ST. PETERSBURG, (PNA/RIA Novosti) -– Russian President Vladimir Putin held talks about Syria with his US counterpart, Barack Obama, on the sidelines of the G20 summit near St. Petersburg, a Russian presidential aide said Friday.
The meeting lasted about 20 minutes and focused on Syria, aide Yury Ushakov told journalists.
Asked whether differences between the two countries’ positions on the conflict remained, Ushakov said they did, but added that Putin and Obama agreed to “continue talks.”
