BUTUAN CITY, (PNA) — The Philippine National Police here in Caraga region had conducted a security survey of all vital installations here, a top police official said Friday.
PSupt. Martin M. Gamba, chief spokesperson of the regional police office here said that recently a security survey was ordered by CSupt. Getulio Napenas on the power and water installations, business establishments, airports, seaports and terminals.
According to Gamba that Dir. Napenas also had instructions to all police personnel to conduct monitoring even in their respective localities.
“It doesn’t mean that we are far from Central Mindanao where improvised explosive devices are believed to be manufactured, that those who wanted to sow terror cannot do their thing here,” Gamba said.
Gamba also said that the police have close coordination with the leaders of the villages mostly populated by muslim brothers to report any suspicious new faces or those who are engaged in any suspicious activities.
